Inoorero University and Royal Business School signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 to offer the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) tuition online. The course targets students who would wish to study for CPA from all over the world with no geographical or time constraints. This would especially be of convenience to the working class, particularly those who have to travel frequently in their line of duty.
Mr. Richard Nguhu Kimani has been appointed the new Director for Inoorero University’s IBTM Programme.
IBTM (ICT-Based Teaching and Information Management) is a certificate course aimed at equipping teachers with the requisite skills to effectively integrate ICTs in their teaching and management of students.
Mr. Kimani brings on board a wealth of experience as a career educationist both as a classroom teacher at various levels, a curriculum developer and an education consultant. He has been relentless crusader of ICT integration in education and a champion of e-Learning.
Peter Wangondu and Agnes Kimtei were named Mr. and Miss IU on Friday, November 23, 2012 at a colorful function held at the Mall, Westlands.
Wang’ondu a first year law student and Kimtei a Diploma in Information Technology finalist beat 14 contestants to emerge the winners of the 2012 pegeant.
During the event the finalist showcased their talent in different dress categories that included: casual, cultural, creative/talent and evening wear.
Besides the crown winners took home airtime, gift vouchers and gift hampers from Google who were one of the sponsors of the event.
On Saturday, November 17, 2012, Inoorero University awarded a total of 462 graduands with degrees and certificates at a colourful ceremony held at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre.
The fourth graduation had graduands from the schools of Law, Business and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and also the second cohort of the Executive MBA in Leadership and International Business Development. This number also included graduands who studied through the IU Distance and E-learning mode.
Inoorero University Council has appointed Prof. Esther Wangui Muchira Tirima as the Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic, Research and Student Affairs with effect from Thursday, November 15, 2012.
Prof.Koi is the Director at the Centre for Research, Teaching and Learning (CRTL) a position she will continue to hold.
The Centre which was established recently at the University aims to serve as a “Think Tank” for creative, innovative, intellectual, timely, and provide appropriate solutions to teaching, learning, social, economic and development to problems and challenges.
There were adverse reports on Inoorero University on NTV 9pm news of Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th November 2012 regarding the University offering Bachelor of Laws.
The Vice Chancellor in his statement to NTV on Wednesday 7th November 2012 indicated that the University was not in a position to comment at the time inorder to protect the integrity of the students and the process but would issue a comprehensive statement later.

IU Acreditation Letters
Inoorero University has been ranked position 52 among the top 100 East African Universities in a survey conducted by the Centre for Public and Social Research International released today at a media breakfast meeting (Daily Nation Thursday, November 1, 2012).
IU had a total score of 9.48 out of 15 points taking position 27 among Kenyan Universities that have embraced Information Communication Technology (ICT in their teaching nd enhancing quality and effective University education in East Africa.
The Research which was done between April and October 2012.
Inoorero University in partnership with Othaya Teachers Training College launched the first Digital Teacher Training Centre on Friday, October 26, 2012.
The facility was officially launched by the Director Policy Partnership and East African Community at the Ministry of Education Mr Kiragu Wa Magochi who represented the Minister for education Hon. Mutula Kilonzo.
The 2012 President's Awards Kenyan chapter was held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at State House Gardens.
Among those awarded at the event which was graced by His Excellency the President Hon. Mwai Kibaki was Martin Maina Waithumbi a Bachelor of Information Science student at Inoorero University.
Waithumbi first joined the program in 2006 while still in high school and has successfully completed the bronze, silver and gold levels to receive the Gold Award Certificate which was presented by President Kibaki.
