VC Hosts the 6th Innovation Forum

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Henry Thairu hosted the 6th Students Innovation Forum on Tuesday 20th July 2010. The guests included Dr. Dinah Mwinzi (PhD), Director for Youth and Training, Ministry of Youth and Sports and Ms. Jacqueline Machaka, winner of the 2007 “Chora Bizna” business plan writing competition.

Online degrees offered in Kenya and the East Africa region for the first time


California Miramar University (CMU) signed a collaboration to offer online degrees in Kenya through Inoorero University at a ceremony held on Tuesday, 13th July 2010 at Inoorero Centre. This is the first time in Kenya that students will be able to access online degree courses locally and have an opportunity to meet and interact with their professors using current online technologies. Unlike Distance learning, online mode of learning allows students to attend lectures and complete their coursework online at their convenience.

IU Commissions Lift at Inoorero Centre


Inoorero University’s long awaited lift is finally commissioned.

Introducing IU/CBS CCE Executive MBA

EMBA launch

Inoorero University (IU)and Copenhagen Business School Center for Continuing Education (CBS CCE) recently launched an Executive MBA programme in Kenya.

The new 15-months part time programme takes advantage of research information to the fact that business leaders learn most effectively when challenged to solve real-life issues which add value to companies while studying. The EMBA takes a practical and experiential learning approach using “live” business cases from supporting/sponsoring companies.

2nd Vice Chancellor's Innovation Forum


We are privileged to have two young entrepreneurs join us in this Vice Chancellor's 2nd Innovation Forum with IU students. The event will take place on 16th March 2010 in the IU Lecture Theatre at 2.30 P.M.

Vice Chancellor's Annual IU Innovation Award


The VC announced and launched the Vice Chancellor's Annual IU Innovation Award on 16 th February during the Vc's forum with students. This is a competititon involving all students of the University.The award will be for the top three innovators in each of the three Schools(i.e, ICT, Business and Law).

At the Launch a company owned by a local young entrepreneur - Chris Kinuthia the MD of Globefinity Systems LTD. contributed Kshs. 30,000/- to the innovation fund. The University has received pledges from other companies like Futuristic LTD. , Family Bank and others.
