IU celebrates inaugural graduation ceremony

Inoorero University celebrated its 1st graduation in a colourful ceremony on Saturday, 21st November 2009 which saw over 800 graduands awarded various Degrees and Diplomas to join the university’s distinguished alumni.

The Guest of Honour, Mr. Gerald Wamalwa, CEO of Mellech Engineering & Construction Ltd encouraged the graduands to think beyond securing employment and dream big of being employers themselves. He lauded Inoorero University for distinguishing itself as ‘The Enterprise University’ saying that, “Kenya’s economic solutions lie within Kenyans themselves since local enterprises have the potential to take the nation to the next level as a mid-income nation.”

In line with the day’s theme ‘Refining to Distinction’, Inoorero University Chancellor Hon. F.T. Nyammo expressed his confidence in the graduating class saying, “Through the abundant knowledge that you gained in the entire period you studied at IU, we are confident that you are empowered enough to face the many challenges awaiting you. Like those who were ahead, we expect you to always serve the nation with Distinction, Professionalism and Integrity”.

In reiteration, the university’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Henry M. Thairu added that, “We have great confidence that you will continue to leave a legend in your path as your peers have done.

Several students were recognized for their exemplary performance and song and dance crowned this beautiful day.
