IU signs agreement to become Linux Professional Institute (LPI) training partner

Inoorero University has stepped up its collaboration with Linux Professional Institute by signing an agreement to become a training partner.

The signing, which was held on Friday 17th May 2013, is aimed at encouraging the University to train a larger number of Linux professionals. “There is need for Universities to train as many Linux professionals as possible,” reiterated Mr. Evans Ikua, Chairman of Kenya Linux Professional Association. “To realize Vision 2030, we must emphasize the philosophy of ‘Open Minds’ as this is our only hope for initiatives for cities like Konza

Inoorero University Vice Chancellor Prof. Henry Thairu reminded the forum that the government is waiting for Universities to train Linux Professionals thereby creating enough administrators for possible government migration.
