IU Royal Business School MOU.jpg

Inoorero University and Royal Business School signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 to offer the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) tuition online. The course targets students who would wish to study for CPA from all over the world with no geographical or time constraints. This would especially be of convenience to the working class, particularly those who have to travel frequently in their line of duty.

During the signing IU Vice Chancellor Prof. Henry Thairu emphasized the need for the two parties to work together and focus more on the student by providing the necessary support for learning.

In this collaboration, the course curriculum will be run from the IU Virtual Campus while Royal Business School will provide teaching to support the CPA Distance & E-learning students online. Learning materials will be uploaded on the Virtual Campus and can be accessed from any part of the world. The students will however have to sit their final examinations at the designated KASNEB examination centers as is the case with their colleagues attending class or studying on their own.

The minimum qualifications are as indicated below:
a) Secondary education (O level) certificate with an aggregate average of at least grade C+ (or equivalent) provided the applicant has obtained a minimum of grade C+ (or equivalent) in both English and Mathematics.

b) Advanced education (A level) certificate with at least two principal passes provided that the applicant has credits in Mathematics and English at secondary education level.

c) KASNEB technician or professional examination certificate.

d) A degree from a recognized university.

e) Such other certificates or diplomas as may be approved by KASNEB.
