IU AWARDS FUNDING FOR EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

Inoorero University awarded 11 students with education scholarship on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at an official ceremony worth Ksh4.6 million to pursue various courses at the institution.

While giving his speech during the function, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Henry Thairu took note of the excellent results shown by beneficiaries and as a University we continue to enrich the lives of many young Kenyans by offering them an opportunity to pursue higher education and empowering them to actualize their potential.

IU has an annual scholarship fund is open to students from all over the country to IU students and those aspiring to join the university.
The official award ceremony for the 11 beneficiaries was held at 2.30pm and presided over by the IU Vice Chancellor

The scholarship scheme which is part of the University’s corporate citizenship was opened on March 7, 2012 to applicants from all the 47 counties in Kenya for full and partial scholarships.

The process of awarding the scholarship is usually transparent where applicants are selected on merit and are reviewed through the scholarship committee. Short listing is conducted by the committee as part of the selection procedure with keen consideration on gender balance.

This scholarship encourages students in the different fields offered in the school of Law, Business and Information Communication Technology (ICT).
